Multiple discussions can be started per shipment document, and all can have their selected partner who can participate. This can be handy e.g. when discussing the price with a carrier, but the consignee can't see any of it.
In the discussion board, the different partners can comment or follow the threads. No more separate email chains or phone calls. All discussion neatly summarized in a single location.
